This led to another realization while I was watching the Dior 2012 Couture show just a week ago in Late January: some of these dresses look a little familiar, comfortably and happily familiar....
Hilly Holbrook, played by Bryce Dallas Howard, wears a beautiful a-line dress with a bold pattern. Somewhat typical for us Southerns even today...

Spring 2012 Couture Dior a-line bold printed dress. I love the ode to the traditional dress that we still love in the South.

Celia Foote, played by Jessica Chastain, wears a tight little number that encompasses a women's body, with her Southern made Coca-Cola, no doubt.

Spring 2012 Dior Couture. Not only showing off the women's body, but doing a damn good job of it, and with red, no less...

Celia Foote again, getting ready for a spectacular dinner, dressed to the nines in her form fitting, enhanced neckline to show off the shoulder dress with a small, yet bold, print.

Spring 2012 Couture Valentino. Without the lace overlay on this dress, the silhouette is strikingly similar, as well as strikingly beautiful.

Overall, it may just seem like there is nothing but normal here, but Southern Style is undying and far from the norm. Some may say that these looks are not just for Southern Ladies. But, being Southern has something more than a dress can solely hold. That dress is enhancing a Southern Ladies person. The Help embodied this to perfection and I love that Spring 2012 Couture has a little bit of Southern personality that only a true lady with Southern Style can uphold.
